THE GOAL
The Florida Municipal Power Agency does essential work across the state — but the story of how Florida's electric infrastructure gets built, maintained, and improved isn't one that tells itself. FMPA needed a production partner who could get inside the work, travel to where it actually happens, and translate the complexity of electric utility operations into something compelling and human. The goal wasn't a corporate video. It was an honest documentary record of an organization doing something that matters.
THE RESULTS
Seven years in, Aqueous Films has produced an annual documentary for FMPA every year of that partnership — taking crews across Florida to capture the people, projects, and decisions that keep the lights on. The result is a body of work that gives FMPA a genuine, ongoing narrative: not just what they do, but why it matters and how they do it. Year after year, the series has become the definitive inside look at electric utility in Florida.
