This year there's been a bunch of cool new wedding trends, from the incorporation of greenery as decor to first looks with other family members. With the year coming to a close, we're getting ready for a new year full of new exciting trends!
One trend we're thrilled to join in on is creating Save The Date videos for our couples.
Check out our most recent Save The Date video:
Let's face it: snail mail isn't the quickest or most convenient way to communicate with people anymore.
We've seen people start sending out e-vites to weddings and other events over the past few years, but emails can easily be overlooked if there isn't something eye-catching to the receiver. This is where a video would help the invite stand out!
What makes a good Save The Date video?
1. Authenticity
When you send out your video, you want to encompass who you are as a couple!
Whether it's you two hanging out at your favorite spots or doing an activity with friends, you should capture the two of you enjoying yourselves and each other. People should see that your love for each other is immense. After all, you are inviting people to come celebrate your love!
2. Don't be shy
One thing we find so important when it comes to wedding films and save the date videos involves making you feel as comfortable as possible. We want to melt into the background and have you almost forget that we're there!
If you know you're shy, or camera shy that's okay. We will take the time to talk and get to know you.
If anything, this save the date shoot will help you feel more comfortable on camera, so that when the time comes for your wedding you'll feel comfortable with us capturing you. But - we promise - no camera's in your face!
3. Include the details
The details are the most important part of this video! If you forget them, then what's the point of sending it out?
Remember to be clear about them, too. Answer:
When is your wedding?
Where is your wedding ceremony & reception?
When to RSVP by?
And any other detail you might find important!
If you're thinking that you want a Save The Date video, but don't know where to start - let us know and we'll help you make the perfect video!
